I'm so tired. It's 8:36pm. Typically I wouldn't be going to bed for another 3.5 hours. The hard thing is that I don't like to go to bed until I can open up the house so that it cools down while I sleep, but it's... lemme check, one sec hold on.

Well you know what? it's 77! I'll probably be able to open the house up at 9, which is only 22 minutes away at this point. That will be nice.

I also got new headphones. Necessary? No, but delightful. they're maybe the best earphones I've ever had. I know there's a difference between headphones and earphones, mostly whether they sit on your head or only in your ears, but I use them interchangeably. Do you think people might find that obnoxious? I'm sure they don't even notice. But anyways. I can hear things in my music I've never been able to hear before. They have three different speakers. Three! One each for bass, mids, and highs. The mids and highs might both be served by the smaller speakers in each, but there's definitely a dedicated bass speaker. a personal subwoofer. I originally thought that i'd really hear the difference in the bass, but that's not it at all. if anything, my other earphones give a bass-ier experience because they drown out everything else. with these, it feels more well-rounded, more full. it's really beautiful. there are harmonies I couldn't appreciate before, as well as little things in the music that I'd completely missed. you can sometimes even hear room noise now. it's wild. Anyways. My I by seventeen was especially delightful at the end. it bounced around and I could feel it in my ear canal (one of my favorite feelings. yaaaas music make your physical presence known. rattle my brain!)

I wish i could side-by-side compare these and previous earphones. I wonder if I can have my phone connect to and play through two sets of headphones at the same time?

(several days later) it turns out I cannot.
